The California earthquakes of June 2005 were a series of earthquakes that occurred within the month of June 2005.

First, a 5.1 magnitude quake centered in Anza, California struck Southern California on Sunday morning, June 12. Two days later, on Tuesday evening, June 14, a 7.2 quake centered off the California coast near Crescent City in Northern California struck, prompting tsunami warnings all along California's Pacific coast. Two aftershocks due to this 7.2 earthquake struck on and before June 19, with magnitudes of 6.7 and 5.0. On June 16, another Southern California earthquake occurred, measuring 4.9 on the Richter scale and centered near Yucaipa, California. Then on June 26, another earthquake of 4.8 magnitude struck at a depth of 7.1 km and was centered around Truckee, California.

Due to these earthquakes, some residents have begun preparing for the "big one", a large hypothetical earthquake.
