Here is a nice little recording that was never released and existed only as a test pressing. Everything Is Hotsy Totsy Now was a very popular tune. It was written by Irving Mills and Jimmy McHugh and was recorded by several other artists including The Original Indiana Five and The California Ramblers, and Coon Sanders Nighthawks Orchestra. Mills' vocals are somewhat reminiscent of Cliff Edwards singing. Duke Ellington plays piano on the tune. Mills would soon became Duke's manager and publisher. This relationship would continue until 1939. |
