This is the band that Louis played with at the Sunset Cafe at 313-17 East 35th Street at Calumet Avenue in Chicago in 1927. Earl Hines was the musical director. Chicago Breakdown is a Jelly Roll Morton song. This record is probably more representative of what Louis was playing live at this time in Chicago, than the Hot Five and Hot Seven records of the same year.
