2003 Board Orientation Features Guest From National
Archives, Washington, D.C.
By Carol Greve
The FQCFRQ Board Orientation will take place on January 18, 2003, at the
home of Dee and John Lynott. This annual event introduces the new Board members
to the history and positions of the organization, plans and assigns tasks for
the coming year. The Board sets new goals and evaluates the progress and
successes of the previous year.
Our special guest presenter this year is John A. Constance, Director,
Congressional and Public Affairs for the National Archives and Records
Administration, Washington, D.C. Mr. Constance will speak on preservation and
federal entitlements in historic districts. As our organization grows, the
Board realizes the value of utilizing national as well as local expertise and
interest in the preservation of the Vieux Carré. The Board is excited
about Mr. Constance's visit and looks forward to his presentation.
