Bring holiday cheer home this season
DALLAS, 12/17/2003
– While the holidays are the ultimate excuse to savor the tastes of the season, the genuine Joyeux Noël is the time spent with family and friends. With a little help from la Madeleine Bakery, Café & Bistro, enjoy both good friends and a sumptuous holiday fare with the time-saving la Madeleine Take-Home Holiday Dinner. This complete feast serves a family of four to six. The centerpiece of the traditional Christmas feast is la Madeleine's succulent Roasted Turkey Breast, complemented by hearty Stuffing and creamy Mushroom Sauce. A mixture of cranberry, raspberry, and orange creates a delectable Cranberry Sauce to add even more flavor. Green Beans Almondine and tasty Potato Gratin round out this Christmas feast, along with ten Petit Pain Rolls from the bakery known for its incredible breads. The sweet ending is a Bûche de Noël, a traditional log-shaped confection topped with chocolate ganache and trimmings of the season, which can serve up to eight chocolate lovers. The tradition hearkens back to the Middle Ages, when a fire in the hearth was a luxury. Guests would bring friends a wooden log as a holiday gift. Today, Bûche de Noël is often eaten after Midnight Mass, Christmas Eve Candlelight Sermon, or any time when family gathers for a tasty holiday tradition. la Madeleine’s Take-Home Christmas Dinner can be ordered at all la Madeleine restaurants to be picked up December 23 and 24. A $20 deposit is required. Please visit an area location to place orders.
