la Madeleine expands dinner choices with Bistro Menu
 – Beginning evenings at 5 p.m., la Madeleine is transforming itself from a bustling bakery and café into a bistro offering French country favorites.

la Madeleine’s just-introduced bistro menu tempts dinner guests with hearty entrées  such as Herb-Crusted Pork Tenderloin and Beef Tenders en Merlot, or other choices like Chicken Mushroom Pasta or Shrimp Cassolette. For an appetizer, la Madeleine has created Fondue Florentine, a warm, creamy blend of spinach, artichoke hearts, cheeses and wine. The new menu suggests wine options for all entrées.

Longtime guests should rest assured. Familiar favorites including Caesar Salade, Tomato Basil Soupe and Rosemary Rotisserie Chicken are still available in the evening.

“Guests asked for heartier choices in the evening, and the ‘Bistro
la Madeleine’ menu responds to their requests,” says Debra Tippett, chief marketing officer for la Madeleine. “Introducing the bistro is also a way for us to celebrate our 20th anniversary.”

To enhance the bistro dining experience, flowers and lighted candles appear at night. But la Madeleine in the evening is still casual and comfortable, as always, and guests are welcome to linger… perhaps this time with another glass of wine, or coffee and a Strawberry Napoléon for dessert.
