![]() Summary: This relatively flat hike will carry you accross the infamous Cactus Forest Drive loop within the Saguaro National Park. You'll literally cross the loop on both sides. The scenery is about as classic as you can get for the desert, surrounded by every type of cactus available in the southwest, and looking to the East you'll enjoy views of the Rincon Mountain Range. If your looking for a very easy hike that will put you in the heart of the desert, then this is it. The trail is in exceptional condition with very little undulation, a pair of tennis shoes is all you'll need. Ideal for families with children, and perfect for trail runners. If your new to hiking, and ready to get off the paved trails and into something with a little more adventure, then this would be a perfect place to start. Trailhead: From Downtown Tucson, Take Broadway Blvd Eastbound toward the Rincon Mountain Range, as you near the end of the road look to your right, you'll likely notice numerous cars parked along the roadside as this is a popular trailhead. There is no parking lot available, one must park along side the road.
