The
City of Post owns and maintains the Terrace Cemetery, Post
Public Library, Post Landfill, Municipal Water Distribution
system, Wastewater Treatment facility, Public Park, and Post-Garza
County Airport. Post also owns the Community Center and South
Lake, which are managed by Garza County. Post elects a Mayor
and five City Council members. Other officials are appointive.
Elected officials are elected to staggered two-year terms.
Regular meetings of the City Council are at 6:30 pm in City
Hall on the first Tuesday of each month.
