CCA'S HERITAGE HOUSE
THE "LITTLE" HOUSE

The "Little" House is NOT LITTLE!!
It's Purpose is NOT LITTLE either!!

THE CCA HERITAGE HOUSE:

A two story apartment building, donated to the Caprock Cultural Association by the family of W. R. and Ruth Little.  Ruth Little, prior to her death was a renowned china painter.  Some examples of her work is shown in the photograph.

The house was originally built in 1913 to house the nurses that worked and trained at the Old Post Sanitarium, which is now the Garza County Historical Museum, and just next door at 109 North Ave, N. in Post. The house had been altered into a boarding house with a total of eight apartments.

We plan to totally renovate the house and develop  a "Historical Resource, Research Center"  and library.  The center will have meeting rooms, research rooms, archival storage, and lifestyle exhibits.

The vision has been presented to Texas Tech University Architectural Department for a project approval and input by CCA Board member, Mr. Don Collier.

For two years, we called it the "Little House", forcing us say, "No, actually, it's not really little." over and over.    So we officially changed the name to the "CCA Heritage House".
