She's upset that the company puts so little value on the crew's safety and she takes it out on Ash. |
He says nothing, he just backs into the corner looking puzzled. |
Ripley leaves him and goes back to the communal area. |
| As she heads towards the door, it closes and locks. |
| Ash is standing behind her, expressionless. |
| White fluid trickles down the side of Ash's head, he still says nothing. |
| Ripley tells him to open the door..... |
| It looks like he tries to speak, his mouth moves but his lips don't open. He looks at Ripley in a very strange way. |
| He reaches out and grabs her hair and pulls a handful out as she breaks away from him. |
| She tries to get away but....... |
| He picks her up and throws her onto another one. |
| Ash stands over Ripley for a moment, he looks at her, and looks around. |
| She's in no condition to get up. |
| He rolls up a magazine that is lying nearby. |
| Ripley tries to stop him but he is much too strong for her. Ash makes unusual high pitched sounds. |
| Parker and Lambert arrive and try to free Ripley. |
| Ash grabs Parker and causes him great pain as he grasps his flesh. |
| Parker strikes Ash on the back of the neck with a heavy object. |
| He lets go of Ripley, Parker tells Lambert to look after her while Ash flails around like a madman, squirting more of the strange white fluid out of his mouth. |
| Parker can't work out what the hell has got into Ash. |
| Parker hits Ash in the face. |
| The partly decapitated Ash falls to the floor with arms still waving. |
| "Jesus, It's a robot. Ash is a god-damn robot!" |
| Parker moves closer to examine Ash. |
| But gets too close, Ash attacks him and pins him to the floor. |
| He calls to Lambert to help him get "this thing" off of him. |
| Ash's body goes rigid as Lambert has obviously shut him down. |
| Ripley tries to re-activate Ash, she's hoping he knows a way to kill the alien. |
| He looks asleep. |
| Ripley asks "Ash can you hear me?". When there is no reaction she slams her hands on the table and shouts "ASH!". He jumps a little and his eyes open. |
| "Yes I can hear you" |
| Ripley asks about special order 937, Ash says "You read it, I thought it was clear". He confirms that the alien must be returned to Earth at all costs, even the crew is expendable. |
| "That damn company.... What about our lives you son of a bitch?" |
| Ash repeats to Parker that the crew's lives are not important. Ripley asks if he knows how to kill it. He replies "You can't" |
| Parker thinks that is bullshit. |
| "You still don't understand what you are dealing with do you? - Perfect organism, It's structural perfection is matched only by it's hostility" |
| "You admire it" Lambert states. |
| "I admire it's purity... a survivor.... unclouded by conscience, remorse or delusions of morality." Parker says he's heard enough of this and asks Ripley to pull the plug. |
| She leans over to do it, but Ash has one more thing to say..... |
| "I can't lie to you about your chances, but you have my sympathy". Ripley deactivates Ash for the last time. |
| She decides it's time for Lambert's plan, they are going to blow up the ship and take their chances in the shuttle. |
| This time there's no argument and the three remaining crew go to prepare. |
| But before Parker leaves........ |
| There's something he wants to do. |
