As you approach the main spring source of the Silver River the noise generated by the Silver Springs theme park will get louder and louder.
On a weekend there is a carnival like atmosphere about the place and the din as heard from the water is quite obnoxious. You will hear: military reenactments, choo-choo trains, Herb Alpert and the Tijuana Brass, and the constant drone of canned spcheels from the glass bottom boats tour guides. All this - and more!! And all at the same time. What a zoo..
