The Lounge
The Victorian
Lounge is known for its grandeur and
romantic setting. It's the epitome of age-old elegance and southern
hospitality, with a charm of functioning antique fireplaces, exquisite
mahogany bar and fifteen-foot ceilings. The original German stained
glass chandelier hangs in what was once the formal dining room.
The twelve-foot, three hundred pound, solid mahogany doors offer
every visitor a grand entrance. The Victorian Lounge, once the family
dining room, features exquisite examples of Queen Anne design, such
as a paneled mahogany (imported from Honduras) ceiling, and a frescoed
frieze inspired by Greek antiquities.
