The City of Paris is strategically situated to serve the populous and rapidly developing areas comprising the State of Texas and the Southwest Region of the United States. A number of manufacturing plants in Paris have found the city's location midway between the Atlantic and Pacific seaboards making it ideal for them to distribute products to a national market. Paris' manufacturing, processing industries, and distribution centers, distribute goods throughout the State and the all over the Southwest, as well as the principal markets in the United States. Paris is a Northeast Texas City, located in Lamar County, some 105 miles northeast of Dallas. It is in the center of a 11-county area and is the hub of retail trade, manufacturing, farming, medical care, and other economic segments in this part of Texas. Paris' location on U.S. Highways 271 and 82, Texas State Highways 19 and 24, and Interstate Highway 30 only 38 miles away, makes it conveniently accessible to all parts of the state as well as the Southwest Market.
