1965 in radio was a pretty busy year. The Beatles just released their soundtrack album to their second movie, Help! which was their first colour film, which spawned three songs, the movie title song, "Michelle", and "Yesterday" which is the most recorded song in music history.

It was also a busy time for Motown, which spawned successful music careers for acts like The Four Tops, Smokey Robinson and the Miracles, The Supremes, and Mary Wells, among others.
