Helios Airways

Helios Airways (IATA: ZU, ICAO: HCY, and Callsign: Helios) is a low-cost airline operating scheduled and charter flights from Larnaca and Paphos in Cyprus. It was established in 1999 as the first independent privately-owned airline in Cyprus and in May 2000 operated its first charter flight to London Gatwick. Helios was acquired in 2004 by Libra Holidays Group of Limassol, Cyprus.

Helios Airways operates the following services (as of February 2005):
- Scheduled services to Athens, Birmingham, Dublin, London Gatwick, London Heathrow, London Luton, Manchester, Sofia, Thessaloniki and Warsaw
- Charter services to Amsterdam, Bristol, Cairo, Humberside, Kristianstad, Newcastle and Stockholm

Incidents
- December 20, 2004. A Helios Boeing 737-300 registered as 5B-DBY suffers a loss of cabin pressure en route from Warsaw. Three passengers are rushed to hospital when the plane lands in Larnaca, Cyprus.
- 14 August 2005. The same aircraft crashes en route from Larnaca to Athens, killing all 121 aboard. Loss of cabin pressure is suspected to be the cause.
