Keith Butler is a minister and conservative activist from the state of Michigan. Butler, a former Detroit councilman, has announced that he will seek the Republican nominiation to the U.S. Senate and attempt to unseat Debbie Stabenow. He will face Dr. Jerry Zandstra in the Michigan Republican Primary on Aug. 8, 2006. Rev. Butler advocates strong conservative values like Pro-life and Pro-Traditional family values. He also shows more progressive beliefs of funding our local fire and police. Many major Republican figures in the State have endoresed his run. His votes would most likely follow the Bush Administration agenda, as he consistently stands on behalf of Pres. Bush's decisions. This could be detrimental in a state that went to John Kerry and has a strong democratic and moderate eastern influence.
