Palle Sörensen

Palle Sörensen, a 38-year-old escaping car thief, shot four young police officers in September 1965 in Copenhagen. He is apprehended the following day after a huge search operation and is sentenced to life in prison. He was eventually released after 33 years in prison, which is the longest time anyone has served in a Danish prison in modern history.
