Deletion of Mallet Assembly
Hi, Ttownfeen
According to the (now deleted) history of Mallet Assembly, the original author of the article was 151.140.192.209, an anonymous IP. This doesn't match up with the claim in the article's talk page at Talk:Mallet Assembly that Streyeder was the original author. Now that doesn't mean that Streyeder didn't start the article, but Wikipedia admins cannot make guesses as to the correlation of particular IP addresses to newly registered Wikipedia users. There are a lot of articles on Wikipedia that, put simply, are copyright violations and need to be dealt with to ensure that the Wikimedia Foundation does not run into legal problems with unhappy copyright holders. Additionally, the article was extremely non-NPOV in point of view and would have had to be edited down significantly. I hope this clarifies things for you. :) Bumm13 18:26, 23 September 2005 (UTC)
- Maybe so, though I seriously doubt you (or rather, the Wikimedia Foundation) should be worryring about being sued for copyright infringement by a small non-university-affiliated fraternity-esque organization that I might add is always trying to think of ways to "stick to the Man" ;-). As to the extreme lack of NPOV, well, you get no argument from me. This was copy-and-pasted from a self-promoting site after all. An NPOV tag would have sufficed, I believe. I just find a complete deletion to be a bit draconian. Of course, this (quite literally) makes for a tabula rasa to restart the article.
