WLAE
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia.
WLAE-TV is a PBS member station based in New Orleans, Louisiana. They are also one of two PBS stations serving the market (WYES is the other).
The station is run by the Educational Broadcasting Foundation, Inc. (Which is part of the Willwoods Community, a group that was formed by a group of married couples in 1978 and is supported by the Catholic Church) and operates at channel 32. WLAE signed on the air in July 1984.
In addition to offering PBS programming, WLAE also airs a lot of local educational fare, as well as shows from LPB, even though they are not a satellite station.
