U.S. Highway 412
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia.
United States Highway 412 is an east-west United States highway. Its route number is a "violation" of the usual AASHTO numbering scheme, as it comes nowhere near its implied "parent", US 12. U.S. 412 is duplexed with expressway-grade Cimarron Turnpike from Tulsa west to Interstate 35 and duplexed with the Cherokee Turnpike from far eastern Tulsa to the Arkansas state line. US 412 has a bannered route in eastern Oklahoma named Scenic US 412, one of only two such routes in the country.

Related US routes
- US 412 is most closely related to U.S. Highway 70 in Tennessee, U.S. Highway 62 in Missouri and Arkansas, and U.S. Highway 64 in Oklahoma and New Mexico. It could as easily have been numbered as "US 162", which would have necessitated a new number for a short Missouri State Highway 162.
