07 March 2015:
Foray to Fred's Arena, Bar & Steakhouse - Tucson, AZ
Welcome to fredswagons.com. We sell & trade horses, draft horses, wagons, buggies, harness, antique farm implements and many other farm and horse related items. This trading takes place at Fred's Arena Bar & Steakhouse.
We are located just southwest of Tucson Arizona. Fred's is a family steakhouse but that's not all. When you venture out back you'll find a barn full of draft horses, and under the shade of every mesquite tree is something we have collected through the years; plows, a mowing scythe, wagon parts, etc.
There are wagons everywhere, some authentic, some in between, and some to meet todays demand for better safety and less maintenance. You might find Fred and a few friends out in the shop working on something new and improved, not only horse drawn wagons, but race cars farm trucks and other unique toys like this roadster!
When our Tucson Estates (TE) neighbors Lil and Lou invited us to join them and a few other TE residents for dinner at a local, off the beaten path steakhouse - how could we refuse!?

After I got through unhitching the horses I helped Betsy with the step down and then we were ready for some fun.
When we arrived at 5:15 things were already hoppin'.
Fred's reminded me of a place Scott and Jen had taken me to in SE Wyoming.
Meet Lil and Lou and "Bring me a beer!!!!" Gwen.
Our waitress. Soon it would be busy, noisy chaos!
Betsy waits patiently for her steak.
Above the hand cranked blower is a big wheel to raise and lower the rack.
Ready to party!
Gwen and Lou cut the rug.
The Meat Mistress
I hope those steaks are ours!
It was starting to get busy out on the dance floor.
Go Gwen - GO!!! Not too shabby for a 95 year old.
Lou and Lil moved gracefully across the floor putting all the clumsy rednecks to shame.
Gwen found herself a nice one!
Thanks to all our TE buddies for a good time.
