Greetings!
This time tomorrow I will be in the San Bernardino Mountains of Southern California.
The trip starts with a non-stop flight from Pittsburgh to Las Vegas at 8:00 am Friday morning. Betsy will drop me off and then she continurs on to Cleveland and Fort Wayne.
In under five hours I will be in Las Vegas. There I wil pick up a rental and head south to Big Bear Lake where I will be staying with hiking buddy Cindi. Cindi and I met in Tucson on one of the Tucson Hiking MeetUP Group.
After staying just long enough with Cindi to start smelling like dead fish I will then head north. And I do mean North! Check out the map:
This map route shows the first leg of the trip. Vegas, to Big Bear to Wenachee Washington.
When I reach Wenachee I will do a U-turn and start the trip back with some fun stops along the way.
The big question is: Will the National Parks be open?.
Only the Tea Party knows for sure...
Here is my tentative schedule. If the Gov is still shut down I will have to alter this radically.
